For the Canadian Running Magazine cover shoot with Julie-Anne Staehli, the day of the shoot presented a challenge with an unexpected snowstorm in Flagstaff, Arizona. Since the shoot was intended for the spring cover, snow wasn’t ideal, so plans had to change quickly. A new location was found 1.5 hours south in Cottonwood Arizona, where the snow was absent, and the new location was selected just under an hour before Julie’s arrival. This adaptability ensured the shoot would align with the magazine’s spring aesthetic. The photoshoot involved capturing Julie-Anne’s dynamic athleticism in a variety of settings, with both photos and video content produced. The final photo from the shoot was chosen for the spring cover of Canadian Running Magazine, while the accompanying video was featured in the cover story on Apple News amplifying her story to a broader audience.
